Message Hi everyone,
Well, I think I figured out why my car was running rough. Pulled all coil connectors, and noticed no change on the front right cylinder. Ohmed injector and got nothing, so it looks like I have a bad injector. Other injectors that I could reach were about 13 ohms. Note these are early-style injectors.

I initially thought about replacing all 6 injectors with new-style, but I am paying $25,000 a year for college and it would be hard to fit that into my budget. So, I'm thinking of getting a remanufactured injector for that cylinder to hold me off until I get more money. Now a few questions (some could go in technical, but some could be general, too, so move post if needed).

1. Do injectors gradually fail, or is more of an instant thing? The reason I ask is that I read that driving with a failing/failed injector is running the car lean, which can hurt the engine. I was only able to test 3 injectors due to access, but they were all in spec. If I replace the one bad one, will it be safe to drive until another goes out or I save enough to buy all new ones?

2. Would running ethanol-free gas buy me more time, or once ethanol starts eating away, is it impossible to stop? Or, would I be better off continuing running premium since I can only buy 89-octane ethanol-free gas nearby. I'm only running a lightly modded (intake, exhaust) NA, so is premium really necessary anyways? I bought some Lucas ethanol treatment which isn't a fix, but should help either way.

Thanks for any and all input!
